About The Position

Moyer’s is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and integrity across all accounting functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally including private company experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and WIP reporting.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in private equity-backed, construction, or project-based companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• In-depth understanding of project accounting (per ASC 606).
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger for multiple entities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Assist with M&A integration, system implementations, and special projects as needed.
• Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting.
• Assist Controller in collaboration with external auditors to support annual audits and tax filings.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline reporting.
