We’re hiring a full-time Senior Accountant, Section 8 & Federal Reporting for our Finance & Accounting Division. As a Senior Accountant, you will drive key accounting functions that contribute to our mission.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level.
- Strong accounting knowledge and experience.
- Strong ability to leverage computerized financial and accounting systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite.
- Eight to Nine years relevant work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Government or fund accounting included in accounting coursework preferred or related certifications such as the NH Government Accounting Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely monthly reports of unit and Housing Assistance Payment activity through federal reporting systems.
- Interpret and apply federal accounting regulations to financial transactions, reporting requirements, and accounting processes.
- Maintain and enhance accounting processes and systems that support rental assistance programs and federal compliance.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for federal agencies and serve as a key resource for questions related to rental assistance reporting.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective financial stewardship of public funds.
