About The Position

As a Senior Accountant at MKS Instruments, Inc., you will partner with departments and global locations to complete month end close. Supporting various accounting functions related to but limited to, fixed assets, allocations, intercompany, and accruals. In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of related experience
  • Advanced current knowledge of US GAAP accounting and auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies and practices
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated behaviors of eagerness to win, ownership, and teaming up to excel for the team
  • Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of general accounting systems
  • Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts
  • Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions
  • Record transactions in shared services and corporate including intercompany between subsidiaries and/or divisions, including journal entries, allocations, invoices, and netting settlement process
  • Prepare journal entries for expense accruals for business unit and corporate sites
  • Perform and complete SOX controls in the US legal entity
  • Complete various quarterly reporting packages & balance sheet flux analysis
  • May interpret reports and records for managers
