About The Position

Lead the charge for excellence in all accounting transactions for some of the best commercial properties in town! Ensure monthly recurring mortgage, insurance, real estate taxes, and miscellaneous payments are approved and processed Prepare cash flow projections Review bank reconciliations, journal entries, and all cash transactions prepared by staff accountants Prepare monthly journal entries Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly Lead the annual budget process for assigned portfolio Monitor and ensure all accounting components of new property transitions are completed (i.e. bank account, prior financial statement entry, beginning A/R balances, etc.) Perform accounting functions associated with property financing, purchase or sale (due diligence) as directed by the property owner Provide tax accountants requested financial reports along with supporting documentation Oversee funding requests and bank transfers Prepare annual property operating expense reconciliations Oversee lease abstracts for new and existing tenants including review monthly charges, reviewing new leases All other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Experience is equivalent to having a degree
  • Three or more years accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cash flow projections
  • Review bank reconciliations, journal entries, and all cash transactions prepared by staff accountants
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
  • Lead the annual budget process for assigned portfolio
  • Monitor and ensure all accounting components of new property transitions are completed (i.e. bank account, prior financial statement entry, beginning A/R balances, etc.)
  • Perform accounting functions associated with property financing, purchase or sale (due diligence) as directed by the property owner
  • Provide tax accountants requested financial reports along with supporting documentation
  • Oversee funding requests and bank transfers
  • Prepare annual property operating expense reconciliations
  • Oversee lease abstracts for new and existing tenants including review monthly charges, reviewing new leases
  • All other duties assigned.
