About The Position

Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. We are partnering with a growing organization in Flowery Branch seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This onsite opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting while working in a collaborative environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
  • Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
  • Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
  • Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned
