About The Position

Workday is seeking a Senior Accountant who wants to make their mark on a growing organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using large ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP specifically as it relates to Leases, , Fixed Assets, Cloud computing arrangements, Internally developed software preferred.
  • Experience with automation of processes using any AI tools.
  • Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed.
  • High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Collaborative teammate to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills, IE - can execute formulas and pivot tables.
  • Detailed and analytical person who thrives in solving problems.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
  • Expertise in navigating complex lease technicalities and scaling ASC 842 lifecycles through AI-driven automation and ERP optimization to streamline R2R workflows.
  • Perform technical assessments of global lease agreements to determine accounting treatment and ensure precise classification under ASC 842 standard.
  • Lead transformation projects to automate R2R functions—including journal entries and reconciliations—and maximize ERP performance.
  • Move beyond historical data by using advanced analytics to identify trends, perform balance sheet fluctuation analysis and assess business risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Treasury, FP&A, Facilities & Data Center Operations team, Accounts Payable, and business partners teams for proper recording of transactions.
  • Support SOX compliance efforts and assist in improvement of control procedures.
  • Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Drive process improvement, build efficiencies, and innovate.
  • Active participant in delivering on accounting and organization goals.
