About The Position
Hopkins and Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team of hospitality professionals. This role is crucial for the day-to-day accounting operations, involving the maintenance of accurate financial records, support for accounts payable and receivable, and assistance in preparing financial reports. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with Senior Leadership and the Human Resources Manager to ensure timely and accurate payroll, financial entries, and reconciliations. Additionally, this position will partner with restaurant management teams to support financial logbooks and maintain consistency across all locations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience required
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of financial controls, reporting, and payroll processes
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
- Hospitality or multi-unit restaurant experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations across multiple restaurant brands, including sales integrations, reconciliations, AP/AR, cash management, and financial record accuracy
- Prepare and distribute weekly and period financial reporting, including manager P&Ls, ledgers, and variance tracking
- Support payroll oversight, labor reporting, and bonus/incentive tracking in partnership with HR
- Assist with month-end close, bank reconciliations, tax filings, audit preparation, and compliance tracking
- Maintain accurate coding, invoice management, and organized financial documentation across systems
- Partner with restaurant leadership to ensure consistent financial processes and timely communication around discrepancies or operational concerns
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial workflows across the company
