Reporting to the Regional Controller, you will lead critical month end and year end close activities, support financial reporting and analysis, and help drive process improvements across the accounting function. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of key financial processes. This position requires an in-office presence three to four days per week at our World Headquarters in Monroe, Ohio. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3 plus years of progressive accounting experience
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience supporting internal and external financial audits; solid understanding of cash flow and networking capital
  • Demonstrated experience owning month-end close and preparing complex journal entries independently
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data modeling; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with ERP/general ledger accounting software (e.g., Sage X3, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple geographies

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the full month-end close process, ensuring completion within established timelines
  • Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and reclassifications
  • Record and maintain fixed asset entries, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
  • Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements and forecasts; monitor net working capital trends
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform cash and bank reconciliations; support AP and AR functions as needed
  • Reconcile and report intercompany receivables and payables
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax filings and returns (e.g., Ohio CAT and other applicable state/local filings)
  • Research and analyze budget-to-actual variances; prepare executive-level results summaries and financial commentary for senior leadership
  • Support the external audit process; prepare requested schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives within the accounting department
  • Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
