About The Position

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting and supporting the Controller in senior level accounting practices in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). All job responsibilities are to be performed in strict adherence with the Company’s Mission/Values Statement and in accordance with established standards for external customers as well as internal customers.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum three years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding of and practical experience in sales tax, transactional accounting, cost accounting, inventories and computerized accounting systems.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively utilize computerized accounting systems and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to accurately and timely prepare financial statements.
  • Ability to organize.
  • Ability to exercise good business judgment in making daily operating decisions with the long term best interests of the business in mind.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential business information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines that change frequently.
  • Ability to deal effectively with time pressures, stress and change.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred.
