About The Position

HEICO Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Flight Support Group based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to the Vice President, FTG Accounting & Finance. The Senior Accountant will support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, prepare journal entries for eliminations or adjustments, and assist with entity closing processes. The role involves driving process and reporting improvements, providing financial and operational support to subsidiaries, observing inventory counts, conducting financial analysis for reporting, and performing other ad-hoc projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of two to four years of progressive experience in financial accounting (public and/or industry)
  • Strong general ledger experience a plus
  • Knowledge in areas such as intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and foreign exchange accounting a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
  • Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for entities within the FTG
  • Prepare necessary top-sided journal entries for eliminations or adjustments of foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP
  • Assist with the ETG Corporate entity closing, including reconciliation of intercompany accounts and review of subsidiary bank account.
  • Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Provide financial and operational support to the HEICO subsidiaries
  • Observe the year-end physical inventory counts at the HEICO subsidiaries
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return
  • Perform/assist with other duties and special ad-hoc projects
