Job Title Senior Accountant About your role: You will serve as a Senior Accountant on our business unit accounting team, focusing on accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions. You will prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, support the monthly financial close process, and help maintain strong internal controls. You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Product, and Operations teams to provide insight, improve processes, and support business and regulatory changes. What you'll do: Analyze, verify, and record financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner Assist in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries for posting to the general ledger along with monthly general ledger account reconciliations Perform tasks in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements to support a strong control environment Prepare reporting and analysis to support understanding of assigned balance sheet accounts Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting in support of assigned business units Complete detailed reconciliations of operational expenditures, cost of goods sold, and revenues Provide timely and accurate financial information to management and cross-functional partners Support internal and external audit activities and inquiries, including documentation requests and control walkthroughs Ensure that financial information is fairly presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies Maintain documentation of all relevant processes and procedures as changes occur Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned; responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary

Requirements

  • 4+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, public accounting, or similar financial environment or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, performing general ledger account reconciliations, and supporting a monthly financial close process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) and Word, with the ability to analyze and summarize financial data
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement presentation, and basic U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting concepts
  • Accounting experience using SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
  • Experience with process improvement, standardization, and documentation of accounting procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, influence decision-making, and present financial information to non-financial audiences
