About The Position

The Senior Accountant assists the Accounting Manager and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including yields, general ledger, financial reporting, product costing, results analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The role also supports monitoring, analyzing, preparing, and reporting financial performance, and contributes to the preparation of the annual operating plan for operations. Additional relevant duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
• Expert technology and computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant accounting experience within a similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Adage, M-Tech, or similar systems/software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting Manager and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including yields, general ledger, financial reporting, product costing, results analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Assist in monitoring, analyzing, preparing, and reporting financial performance.
• Monitor and report yield performance and variances to stated standards.
• Assist with general ledger entries, identify fluctuations and root causes, and reconcile and balance accounts.
• Assist with preparation of the annual operating plan for operations.
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
