About The Position

The Senior Accountant position will be primarily responsible for performing general ledger accounting tasks, as assigned. This position will assume a broad range of general accounting duties during the month end close, including preparation of monthly journal entries and completion of account reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will also review the work of staff and intermediate accountants, train and mentor them, and communicate with various cross-functional teams. This role is hybrid between Princeton, NJ and remote, with office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
4-8 years of corporate and/or public accounting experience.
Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems.
Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.
Knowledge of personal computer databases and spreadsheets.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Effective organizational skills.
Ability to work well as part of a high performing team, as needed.

Nice To Haves

CPA and/or MBA a plus.
Experience with ORACLE ERP and/or Onestream systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, as assigned.
Review of staff and intermediate accountant reconciliations and fluctuation explanations.
Train and mentor staff and intermediate accountants.
Run various monthly reports used to reconcile or analyze general ledger account balances.
Assist in the preparation of account analyses for internal and external reporting purposes.
Analyze and explain fluctuations and trends in balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Work with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation and answer audit inquiries.
Communicate with other cross functional teams including IT, Shared Services A/R and A/P, Tax, FP&A, Treasury and Consolidations.
Other tasks and projects as assigned.
