We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with extensive knowledge of SAP systems to join our finance team. This role is over-seeing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting reporting processes, and leveraging SAP to drive efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, deep ERP experience, and the ability to partner across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years Accounting Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems (FI/CO required; S/4HANA preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial close processes
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Leverage SAP (FI/CO, GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting modules) to manage financial data and reporting
  • Lead SAP-related accounting initiatives, including system enhancements, implementations, or upgrades
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain SAP reports and dashboards for financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
  • Prepare audit schedules and technical accounting documentation
  • Perform financial analysis, trend reporting, and variance explanations
  • Partner with business units to provide insights and support decision-making
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Automate workflows within SAP where possible
  • Drive standardization of accounting practices across the organization
