The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance and Accounting team responsible for performing complex accounting activities and supporting the accurate and timely financial reporting of multiple nonprofit entities. This position has primary responsibility for assigned month-end close activities, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, fixed assets, accruals, deferrals, and supporting schedules. Working in a fast-paced, multi-entity shared-services environment, the Senior Accountant partners closely with the Controller, Chief Financial Officer, accounting staff, and organizational leadership to maintain the integrity of financial information, strengthen accounting processes, support budgeting and year-end activities, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
