Senior Accountant
About The Position
Join the finance team of a leading professional sports organization at an exciting moment of growth and transformation. This organization describes themselves as the "oldest start-up": established brand, entrepreneurial energy, and is looking for a Senior Accountant to join immediately on a contract-to-hire basis (minimum 3 months). The Role You'll be part of a tight-knit 2-person team handling all things stadium, concessions, and retail accounting - event cash reconciliations, AR billing, journal entries, sales tax processing, and GAAP compliance across multiple entities. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role supporting the business during a period of leadership transition, so you'll have real ownership and the chance to make an immediate impact.
Requirements
- Strong core accounting skills with multiple-entity experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Comfort with NetSuite (or ability to ramp quickly)
- An adaptable, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset — this role thrives on flexibility, not rigid process
Nice To Haves
- Sports industry experience is a plus, but not required — the right attitude and accounting chops matter more!
Responsibilities
