About The Position

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Senior Accountant / Supervisor / Manager on behalf of a valued client partner in the corporate accounting / finance sector. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this Senior Accountant / Supervisor / Manager opportunity. We are seeking an experienced accounting professional who can operate at a senior level while bringing leadership capability, technical accounting strength, and ownership of core financial processes. This role is ideal for someone who can manage month-end close, supervise staff when needed, improve controls, and support leadership with accurate financial reporting and operational insight.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience at Senior Accountant, Supervisor, or Manager level
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Proven month-end close and financial reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system proficiency
  • Experience reviewing reconciliations and supporting staff output
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
  • Stable employment history with clear progression; candidates with jumpy resumes will not be considered

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
  • Public accounting background
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, real estate, or multi-entity environments
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • ERP implementation or process automation experience
  • Strong budgeting / forecasting background
  • Ability to partner directly with executive leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accuracy of general ledger activity and financial records
  • Supervise, mentor, or review work of accounting staff as needed
  • Prepare internal financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and workflow efficiency
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax partners, and cross-functional departments
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policy, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist leadership with special projects, systems improvements, and process scaling
