About The Position

The Sr. Accountant, Revenue & Inventory, is responsible for General Ledger functions in compliance with US GAAP, including asset and liability reconciliation and analysis, process improvements, and policy documentation. This role sits within the Finance function and supports the Assistant Financial Controller in maintaining accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. It partners closely with the Operations and Logistics teams to ensure transaction-processing accuracy and timeliness, and collaborates with cross-functional departments to support the monthly accounting close and OPEX analysis. Externally, the role builds and maintains relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants, contributing to a well-governed and compliant finance operation across the US business.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on general ledger, revenue, and/or inventory accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
  • Experience using ERP systems and accounting software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax compliance; experience supporting external audits
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate, with a commitment to data integrity across all reporting deliverables
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a drive to improve processes and internal controls

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for key balance sheet and income statement accounts, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Key areas of responsibility include cash, inventory, prepayments, undeposited funds, and accruals. Maintain sub-ledger and reconcile to the general ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to support the accounting close process and drive OPEX trend analysis.
  • Prepare audit schedules as requested by external auditors to support the annual audit.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as sales tax filings, in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain key policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
  • Support the Assistant Financial Controller in enhancing existing accounting procedures and internal controls, seeking opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
