About The Position

The Senior Accountant III – Accounting Consolidations plays a key role in executing the consolidation process for Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming entities. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex consolidation activities, supporting the close process, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data across multiple entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with advanced Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum Four (4) years of accounting experience, with exposure to consolidations or corporate accounting preferred
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, foreign currency, and reconciliations required
  • Proficiency with financial systems and ERP platforms preferred
  • Strong Excel skills, including ability to manipulate high volumes of data, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, including being a good listener and articulating complex issues in a crisp, compelling, and insightful manner

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities, ensuring timely and accurate aggregation of financial data across entities
  • Prepare consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation and remeasurement, and equity-related activity
  • Prepare intercompany and related party account reconciliations, identifying and resolving differences across entities
  • Prepare foreign currency translation and remeasurement calculations and supporting schedules, including analysis of key drivers and fluctuations
  • Analyze consolidated financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness of reported results
  • Ensure consistency of financial data across entities, including proper mapping to chart of accounts and reporting structures
  • Collaborate with business unit finance and accounting teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure completeness of financial submissions
  • Support audit requests by providing consolidation-related schedules and documentation as needed
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of consolidation processes, internal controls, and standardized procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of automation and system enhancements
  • Support integration of new entities and organizational changes into the consolidation process
  • Maintain and update documentation, including process narratives, checklists, and workflows
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, attention to detail, and accountability in all aspects of work
  • Operate ethically and in accordance with professional standards
  • Assist in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required
