About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Accountant II to join our corporate resort accounting team in Orlando, FL! This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in financial reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations, preferably within hospitality, resort, or timeshare environments. You will partner closely with leadership to analyze financial performance, improve processes, and support audit and reporting functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience (corporate or operational accounting)
  • Strong knowledge of: Month-end close, Financial reporting, Balance sheet reconciliations, Variance analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros)
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills—able to present financial data clearly to leadership
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and work in team environments
  • Process improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality, resort, or timeshare industry experience strongly preferred
  • CPA or CPA-track
  • Experience in multi-property or multi-entity accounting
  • Exposure to audit support and compliance
  • Hospitality exposure to hotel/resort revenue streams, F&B, timeshare, or HOA accounting

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close process, including preparation of advanced journal entries in accordance with corporate deadlines
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and review supporting schedules for accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying key trends and variances
  • Deliver variance analysis and financial insights to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support executive reporting by summarizing key financial takeaways
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards
  • Assist with year-end audit activities, including documentation and auditor coordination
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Create and maintain advanced Excel models (including formulas and macros)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and corporate teams
  • Mentor and support Staff and Junior Accountants (if applicable)
