As the Fixed Asset Accountant, you'll be the go-to person for everything related to capital expenditures, from initial requisition through to full lifecycle tracking. In a typical day, you'll review purchase requests to determine proper CAPEX vs. OPEX treatment, reconcile capital spend by project, and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to identify when in-service assets are ready to be capitalized. You'll also own the reconciliation of the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger, prepare PPE roll-forwards across Crusoe's consolidated entities, and handle deposit and CIP reconciliations to keep everything accurate and audit-ready. Beyond the day-to-day mechanics, you'll play a key role in the monthly close process, preparing journal entries, supporting fluctuation analysis, and partnering with the Tax team on property tax reconciliations and accruals. You'll thrive in this role if you're detail-oriented, comfortable working with large volumes of data, and energized by finding smarter, more efficient ways to get things done. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, take ownership of their responsibilities, and stay a step ahead in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment while also lending support on audits, due diligence, and other projects as they arise.
