About The Position

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Accounting & Reporting to join our Internal Risk Controls team in Toronto, Ontario. The role is a permanent hybrid position. This posting is for an existing position vacancy. As a Specialist Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, accounting consolidation, and performance reporting activities across the organization. This position requires a strong technical accounting background combined with exceptional stakeholder management skills, as the successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, external auditors, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related accounting discipline
• 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Accounting Consolidation
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of professionalism and confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Proactive, collaborative, and relationship-oriented approach.
• Interest in technology, digital transformation, and AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support the delivery of financial statements and consolidated reporting packages.
• Contribute to accounting consolidation and financial close activities
• Support the preparation of business performance and management reporting materials.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of financial reporting processes and deliverables.
