About The Position

Aon is seeking a Senior Fiduciary Accountant to join the North America Commercial Risk Controllership team. In this role, you will support the daily fiduciary accounting activities and month end processes. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting audit-ready documentation, timely issue resolution, and strong financial controls while building trusted relationships with Controllership, Treasury, Operations, IT, and other business partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support accurate fiduciary accounting by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing account reconciliations in accordance with company policy, SOX requirements, and fiduciary accounting expectations.
  • Investigate aged reconciling items and partner with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Support weekly fiduciary cash true-up calculations by analyzing trial balance, receivable, payable, commission, fee, bank, and subledger activity to identify funding requirements.
  • Monitor fiduciary suspense accounts, identify root causes of unmatched activity, and recommend actions to reduce recurring suspense items and manual journal entries.
  • Prepare and review fiduciary journal entries, intercompany adjustments, and close-related accounting activity to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in the testing and documentation of assigned SOX controls, including evidence preparation, control performance documentation, deficiency follow-up, and remediation support.
  • Prepare management reporting and analysis to communicate reconciliation status, suspense aging, funding needs, monthly interest receivable forecasts, process issues, and control observations.
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and standard operating procedure initiatives.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) memorandums for fiduciary accounting processes.
