About The Position

Join AAFCPAs as a Senior Accountant in Audit and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. We are seeking an experienced audit professional with strong affordable housing audit experience. Requirements

  • BS/BA degree - concentration in Accounting
  • Active pursuit of CPA
  • 3+ years of auditing experience with a public accounting firm
  • Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with the client, engagement Manager or Partner.
  • Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Knowledge and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Engagement and Pro F/X is a plus
  • Experience with multi-service community development corporations (CDCs) or Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) with Uniform Guidance reporting requirements preferred
  • Specialized experience in Federal Tax Credit Incentive Programs is highly preferred, including: Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC), Historic Tax Credit (HTC), Solar Investment Tax Credits (ITC)
  • LIHTC and partnership tax experience is a plus
