About The Position

This is a hybrid role, only open to candidates based in San Francisco, CA who can be in office a minimum of 2x/week. We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Account Project Manager to join our fast-growing team. This role will serve as a ‘hybrid’ role, encompassing responsibilities for client service/management and project management. The Senior Account Project Manager is responsible for managing and growing client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth, while overseeing the seamless execution of complex projects or programs. As a Senior APM, and the primary point of contact for clients, you will develop and execute detailed account plans that align with both the client's and the agency's objectives. This involves setting clear goals, identifying key growth opportunities, and mapping out a pathway to achieve them. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all tactical activities of client engagements to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the agreed time frame, budget and scope. The Senior APM combines advanced project management expertise with exceptional client-facing skills to drive results. Additionally, mentoring junior team members and contributing to the agency’s success are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years in project or account management within a creative, advertising, or marketing agency.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client relationships, with an ability to address client needs and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Expertise in managing complex, integrated campaigns across Social, Digital, Email, Video, and other channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Wrike) and strong analytical skills to interpret campaign performance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • A commitment to excellence in every aspect of project and client management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction by addressing their needs and expectations effectively.
  • Partner with client services to develop and execute detailed account and project plans, aligning with both client and agency goals, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (client services, strategy, production, creative, and media) to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns with exceptional results.
  • Anticipate and resolve project challenges to minimize risks and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to expand client accounts, contributing to revenue growth and account development.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring projects are profitable and financial targets are met.
  • Support and guide Account Project Managers and junior staff to foster their professional growth and enhance team collaboration.
  • Oversee deliverables to ensure they meet or exceed client expectations, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Facilitate regular status updates, stakeholder meetings, and performance reporting to keep clients and internal teams aligned.
  • Continuously refine workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
