About The Position

IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit has an immediate opening for an Senior Account Manager in our Naperville, Illinois location. This role will provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to Underwriters, Agents, Principals. Acts as a liaison between the organization and clients, working closely with both entities to ensure needs are met. This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Basic Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong keyboarding skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
  • To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years underwriting support experience
  • Knowledge of AS400 and OnBase systems preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
  • Prepare account service-related documents and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Processes renewals, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
  • Processes endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
  • Processes non-renewals and cancellations.
  • Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
  • Maintains bond/account files in accordance with established procedures
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
  • Answers and processes internal information requests.
  • Prepares, submits and tests IT programming requests.
  • Prepares and audits various monthly reports.
  • Improves/refines professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
  • Assists in training of other employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
