About The Position

HUB International Limited is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their Account Management & Service department. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office. The Senior Account Manager will support Account Executives and Producers in servicing assigned book of benefits accounts, and also manage certain benefits accounts autonomously. The role involves providing excellent customer service, building client relationships, maintaining accurate records in Benefit Point, identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, staying knowledgeable about industry changes, and acting as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers. The position also includes preparing and delivering client communications, reviewing contracts, preparing benchmark reporting, assisting with compliance materials, and supporting clients with claims and billing issues. The role also participates in the new business process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience within employee benefits, human resources, or a related field
  • High school diploma required
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • High attention to detail essential
  • Proven ability to work independently and take leadership on accounts
  • Proven ability to support new business development
  • Proficiency presenting to clients and their employees
  • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within three months of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Executive and Producer in servicing assigned book of benefits accounts, as well as manage certain benefits accounts autonomously
  • Provide customer service for assigned accounts, which includes handling daily emails and phone calls from clients, vendors, and other team members
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Maintain electronic filing and required data in Benefit Point (agency management system)
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of HUB products and services when appropriate for the clients’ needs
  • Be knowledgeable of changes in the insurance industry; and regularly attend industry events, seminars, or conferences
  • Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated service issues
  • Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings when necessary
  • Market renewals as required
  • Participate or assist in the new business process
  • Prepare, print, and, in some cases, deliver communication material to clients
  • Review contracts, plan documents, and plan summaries for accuracy
  • Prepare benchmark reporting
  • Assist team members with compliance materials, including 5500s, wrap documents, and ACA reporting documents
  • Assist clients with claims, billing, and other day to day service issues
