About The Position

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Account Manager to join our team, focused on growing and maintaining our strategic B2B customer base within the Canadian food industry. You will act as the primary liaison between our organization and key customer partners, driving market share expansion, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. Reporting to our Business Segment Manager – Bakery & Bars the ideal candidate will bring a strong sales experience with a technical background, to maintain and develop an established territory. The role involves traveling regularly within the assigned region and promoting Quadra's products and services. This includes the development and implementation of a team-based strategic sales plan based on a solid understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Engineering, Business or Commerce
  • Minimum 8 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience within the food industry working mainly with Bakery and/or Bars accounts. Snack & Confectionary account experience is also considered an asset
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex accounts and develop new business within multi-layered buying environments
  • Excellent ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment while managing tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently and proactively are critical for managing multiple tasks, identifying opportunities, and resolving challenges effectively
  • Willingness to travel (with some overnight) - 30% of working time
  • Proficiency in using Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce, will facilitate effective communication, data analysis, and reporting
  • Valid driver’s license & passport

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key customers, adhering to Quadra's core values and strategic vision to drive long-term partnership success.
  • Proactively grow sales within the Bakery & Bars Segment by identifying and securing opportunities with new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts
  • Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline by generating new opportunities, progress existing ones and commercializing wins to deliver growth in the territory
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals through effective territory management and customer engagement strategies.
  • Employ both internal and external resources to enhance Quadra’s reputation for superior service and technical excellence in the Bakery & bars space.
  • Promote and sell Quadra’s high-quality product portfolio tailored to the Segment’s targeted industries, engaging customers through site visits, joint calls and participation in industry-specific events and forums.
  • Assist customers in resolving technical challenges and identifying optimization opportunities, ensuring their operations align with industry best practices and maximize efficiency.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities to effectively manage complex schedules and priorities.
  • Exhibit strong presentation and written communication skills to convey technical and sales information effectively.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with agility and resilience.
  • Identify key decision-makers, assess their requirements, and align solutions with their goals.
  • Facilitate new business deals by coordinating customer requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless contract integration.
  • Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business and unlock new sales opportunities.
  • Proactively engage in cold calling and other lead-generation activities to expand the customer base.
  • Provide consistent, detailed weekly reporting on activities and maintain a structured approach to scheduling.
