About The Position

The Senior Account Executive will lead national publicity initiatives for Allied Global Marketing, managing accounts from concept through execution and analysis. This role requires exceptional client relationship management skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to oversee junior team members while driving successful publicity campaigns. The Senior Account Executive will serve as a primary client contact, develop comprehensive PR strategies, secure high-quality media placements, and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets across local, regional, and national markets. While the position will be based in Orlando, it could also support other accounts around the U.S. including New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Las Vegas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an agency and/or corporate setting, preferably in public relations with relevant experience within the hospitality and entertainment industries.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong media and influencer contacts in and surrounding areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and service-oriented
  • Comfort in working remotely with regular weekly in-person check-ins
  • Understanding and consistent application of AP Style with a proven ability to write clearly, accurately, and professionally
  • Passionate writer with strong journalistic instincts and a keen understanding of how to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated success in media pitching with a record of securing placements in top outlets
  • Strong understanding of the ever-changing media landscape, including traditional press, online publications, and influencer-driven platforms
  • Independent, creative self-starter who wants to learn and evolve
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage and execute multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others on both the staff and client side, open to constructive coaching from all senior level executives
  • Professional experience and personal interest in the hospitality and entertainment industries are preferred
  • Intrinsically open and flexible to address, resolve, and optimize situations
  • Flexible schedule allowing some work on nights and weekends as needed
  • Tech Savvy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Apple’s suite of products preferred
  • Understand the nuances of social media with a grasp of what makes YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok relevant as part of a total earned media solution

  • Spanish-speaking or Portuguese-speaking skills are a plus, but not a requirement

Responsibilities

  • Leading day-to-day client strategy and communication
  • Drafting client-facing and media-facing documents
  • Attending and taking internal and external notes during meetings and conference calls
  • Staffing photoshoots and press/influencer opportunities
  • Contributing to and executing against timelines and communications plans
  • Tracking and powerfully reporting on all earned coverage while demonstrating a commitment and ability to develop his/her position as required by the needs of the team and our clients
  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies with minimal senior-level input and oversight
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and cultural moments to identify messaging opportunities and share with the wider team for visibility
  • Proactively recommend strategic pivots based on real-time market conditions
  • Develop competitive analysis and provide strategic positioning recommendations
  • Think out-of-the-box and provide recommendations that drive successful outreach tactics
  • Anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions

  • Secure placements in tier-one (top-tier) publications and broadcast outlets
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and influencers on a local, regional, and national level
  • Take a proactive approach to relationship building with journalists, taking desksides, coffee meetings, and email-based intros/conversations
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of media landscape, outlet priorities, and editorial calendars nationally, regionally, and market specific
  • Build reporter relationships that result in proactive story opportunities
  • Coordinate significant media opportunities, interviews, and broadcast segments
  • Serve as a trusted source for media contacts across assigned client categories
  • Maintain current knowledge of journalist beats and media personnel changes on a national, regional, and local level
  • Create compelling and comprehensive press releases and press materials with minimal editing required
  • Develop strategic and timely pitches that resonate with target media outlets
  • Write comprehensive briefing documents, run-of-shows, and client presentations
  • Craft creative story angles and campaign concepts that generate media interest
  • Adapt writing style and tone to match different client brands and target audiences
  • Produce clear, actionable client reports and strategic recommendations
  • Review, edit and provide constructive feedback for junior team members with minimal oversight
  • Manage multiple client accounts and campaigns simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Meet all deadlines and deliverable commitments across assigned accounts with minimal oversight
  • Maintain organized project management with junior staff across all client accounts
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for events, media opportunities, and campaign launches
  • Balance competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
