About The Position

BerlinRosen is seeking a San Francisco-based Senior Account Executive to join their team. This role involves leading daily client relations, planning and executing project deliverables, supporting and leading client teams, and conceptualizing strategies, pitches, and media placements. The individual will work closely with client leads and internal staff, delegate tasks to peers and junior staff, and develop strategies with senior leaders. This position offers an opportunity to hone communications skills while supporting Fortune 500 companies and large global organizations with expansive portfolios across all real estate asset classes. The role requires direct interaction with senior executives to plan and implement holistic communications strategies. As part of the Real Estate vertical, the Senior Account Executive will be encouraged to take the lead on client initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice area. In-person and in-office meetings will be required on a semi-regular basis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of strategic communications experience
  • Experience in media relations and an interest in PR with clients in real estate, design, business and the built environment
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize work streams and track progress across multiple teams
  • Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated relationships with reporters and strong news sense
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients, the media, etc.
  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
  • Confident communications skills to support with direct client communications via phone, email, video call and in-person meetings
  • A positive attitude and willingness to experiment with new tactics or platforms that support client objectives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accounts, for both earned and owned media strategy
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
  • Engage with key reporters and editors, lead outreach and maintain relationships to ensure smooth collaborations with clients
  • Use knowledge of the media landscape to develop creative, interesting opportunities to promote clients and generate earned media coverage
  • Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos and communications plans
  • Draft and develop content that can be leveraged for both earned media and owned-channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram and other online platforms
  • In-person and virtual staffing for client & media meetings, interviews and events
  • Participate in business development opportunities
  • Manage internal client teams and mentor junior staff
