About The Position

We are actively seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development professional with a passion for digital transformation and consulting services. This role is open to sales professionals at various stages of their career who are motivated by growth, impact, and the opportunity to help organizations solve complex business challenges. The ideal candidate has experience selling consulting and/or technology solutions into commercial enterprises and/or federal integrators and thrives in a fast-paced, growth oriented environment. You are energized by landing new client relationships, building credibility with senior stakeholders, and navigating complex sales cycles. A collaborative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to integrity are essential, as is the ability to partner closely with delivery, talent, and leadership teams to drive meaningful business outcomes. This is a hybrid position for someone local to the Tysons Corner or Metro DC area, with the ability to commute to client sites and our HQ as needed. Reporting to our SVP of Revenue & Growth, you will represent Main Digital’s digital transformation and consulting capabilities to prospective clients. You’ll focus on identifying new opportunities, building trusted relationships, and helping clients envision and achieve meaningful change. Working closely with Delivery and Talent teams, you will help shape solutions that align clients’ needs with Main Digital’s strengths, ensuring we are positioned to deliver exceptional results. Your success will be measured by your ability to create momentum in the market, convert opportunities into long-term client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s sustained growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience selling consulting services and/or technology solutions to commercial enterprises or federal integrators, including areas such as digital transformation, intelligent automation, process engineering, software development, analytics, and/or cloud and IT services.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities and progress them through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • A track record of delivering measurable business outcomes such as new logo acquisition, pipeline growth, revenue contribution, or account expansion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven sales environment.
  • Strong strategic account planning and opportunity qualification skills.
  • Experience engaging with senior decision-makers (Director, VP, C-suite) within mid-market to large enterprise organizations.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, strong attention to detail, and effective time management skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and sales activity.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Appian, UiPath, Pegasystems, Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft, and/or Celonis is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the acquisition of new client relationships by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective accounts.
  • Demonstrate ambition and persistence in expanding Main Digital’s market presence and landing new logos.
  • Develop and articulate compelling value propositions based on client challenges, industry trends, and Main Digital’s capabilities.
  • Source and qualify opportunities through a combination of professional networks, outreach, events, partnerships, and inbound leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders throughout the full sales lifecycle.
  • Manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities, including discovery, solutioning, proposal development, and closing.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from sales to delivery and continued client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the growth of client accounts over time by identifying opportunities for expansion across solutions, services, and business units.
