RVS is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems. We have an opportunity for a Senior Semiconductor Sustaining Engineer to join a small team of Process Engineers working towards continuous technical progress and improvements while leveraging cross-functional representatives from the entire Operations team. This is an opportunity to utilize and expand your keen understanding of semiconductor processing, metrology, and equipment functionality skills.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Equipment installation & maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering and/or Process Engineering experience is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with tool vendors, Field service engineers, & factory management.
  • Experience leading tool selection, installation and startup in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with high mix precision electromechanical/semiconductor products in a highly regulated Operations environment.
  • Experience with wet and dry process disciplines including vacuum based systems in high mix semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • By applying fundamental understanding of equipment functionality, you will maintain tool on-state to drive improved uptime metrics throughout the factory.
  • Collaborate with all levels of stakeholders (chief engineers, product engineers, process engineers, technicians, etc.) to drive continuous improvement solutions.
  • Identify potential yield-limiting and bottle neck sources and participate in defining structured problem-solving activities with a focus on implementation.
  • Contribute to RCCA and throughput improvement teams to carry out strategic initiatives to improve future factory performance.
