KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking highly motivated Undergraduate and Graduate students for semiconductor research opportunities for Fall 2026. These internships directly support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The role involves hands-on experience in fabricating wide and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor devices in a cleanroom environment and/or contributing to their electrical characterization. Interns will learn microelectronics fabrication processes, design and fabricate devices like field-effect transistors (FETs) and diodes, and apply solid-state physics concepts to analyze device performance using electrical test data. This is an opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, gain practical experience, and build a reputation in a high-demand field. While prior semiconductor physics knowledge is not required, a strong aptitude for learning new concepts in a laboratory setting is ideal.
