Semiconductor Fab Equipment Service and Facilities Specialist/Technician
About The Position
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Semiconductor Fab Equipment Service and Facilities Specialist/Technician to support semiconductor fabrication equipment, facilities, and manufacturing operations. The role supports both R&D and production manufacturing in cleanroom environments, addressing equipment and facilities needs as they arise and assisting with new tool installations. The position includes repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading semiconductor fab equipment; supporting facility projects; preparing scopes of work and cost estimates; and contributing to preventive and predictive maintenance programs for utilities and building systems. The employee may also provide support to Environment, Health & Safety personnel. Applicants must be U.S. citizens due to facility work and access restrictions.
Requirements
- Experience with semiconductor fab equipment or equivalent.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously, while organizing and prioritizing assignments.
- Proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate exemplary ethics and business conduct and perform work cognizant of safe work practices.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to facility work and access restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MOCVD or MBE growth equipment or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of utilities, building systems, process gases, and/or gas cylinder methodology.
- Cleanroom and semiconductor experience.
- Equipment repair experience is recommended.
- Experience with electronics.
- An associate degree in a related field is recommended.
- A trade or technical college degree.
Responsibilities
- Support repair, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades for semiconductor fab equipment, including e-beam and thermal evaporators, dry etchers, sputtering deposition equipment, photolithography tools, PECVD systems, furnaces, and vacuum systems.
- Support facility projects from start to finish, including equipment replacement, lab modifications, utilities, and building systems.
- Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for tool installations and lab modifications.
- Support R&D and production manufacturing in cleanroom environments as issues arise and for new tool installations.
- Provide support and direction for preventive and predictive maintenance programs for utilities and building systems equipment used in manufacturing.
- Provide support to Environment, Health & Safety personnel as needed.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and safe work practices, and uphold ethical business conduct.
