About The Position

Trailer Equipment / Trailer X-Press is a family-owned, industry-leading heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership specializing in Sales, Service, Parts, and Leasing. As their business continues to grow, they are looking for a Skilled Semi-Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join their main shop. This role is for a hands-on technician who takes pride in quality work and wants stability, respect, and room to advance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to pass the lift test, drug screen, physical, and audiogram
Must supply your own basic hand tools
Strong time management and work ethic

Nice To Haves

2–5 years of heavy-duty trailer or equipment experience
Trailer body, welding, and fabrication experience
State certifications
Self-motivated, positive, and team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical trailer issues
Repair and replace heavy-duty trailer components
Perform welding and fabrication repairs
Inspect parts for wear, damage, or safety concerns
Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools
Conduct post-repair testing to ensure safe, proper operation
Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and related equipment
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
