With our ongoing growth, we have an immediate opening for a day shift Semi Tractor-Trailer Driver position. This role involves driving locally in the Southeastern Michigan area, performing maintenance checks, operating a forklift for loading/unloading, delivering products, obtaining signatures, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, following safety procedures, verifying material quantities, providing customer service, securing products for transport, adhering to DOT regulations, and following instructions. Cross-training may also be required.

Requirements

Must possess a current CDL Class A license, DOT physical long form and medical card
Be a dependable and dedicated individual who takes pride in safety and exhibits good driving skills at all times and possess a good driving record

Nice To Haves

Minimum of five years’ experience in operating a semi-tractor trailer

Responsibilities

Drive locally in Southeastern Michigan area
Perform proper maintenance checks to ensure that all mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in proper working order
Fill out and keep accurate log / records
Operate a forklift to load and unload shipment on truck
Deliver products in a timely and courteous manner
Obtain signatures to confirm order completion
Inspect and maintain cleanliness of vehicle
Follow all truck safety procedures
Verify the quantity of material
Provide great customer service to our customers
Secure products in truck for proper transport
Adhere to Department of Transportation regulations
Follow verbal and written instructions
Cross training as needed
