About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Semi Driver to join our Transportation Department in Watertown, NY. This full-time position involves operating vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership, including picking up new equipment from a John Deere factory. The role also includes instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures, ensuring safe and timely delivery of equipment, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. The driver must maintain all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy, and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies. A key benefit is that you will start and end your day at home.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL- A).
- 1+ year of experience pulling a gooseneck, tilt, or utility trailer.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles safely, including large oversized agricultural machines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a semi-truck operator.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
