Requirements

  • Ability to visually examine bottles.
  • Ability to discard defective bottles.
  • Ability to hand pack bottles into cartons.
  • Ability to supply empty cartons to the carton conveyor.
  • Ability to unjam bottle lines or equipment.
  • Ability to maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to sit at a visual station.
  • Ability to stand at a hand packing station.
  • Ability to work in the repack area.
  • Ability to stand at a lehr to visually inspect bottles.
  • Ability to sweep.
  • Ability to step onto and off of platforms.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs.
  • Ability to pick up cases of bottles weighing approximately 8lbs to 15lbs.
  • Ability to pick up individual bottles weighing from 8oz to 14oz.

Responsibilities

  • Visually examines bottles to ensure proper specifications.
  • Drops defective ware down a cullet chute at the visual light station.
  • Hand packs bottles into a carton, which involves standing at a hand pack station and reaching for and picking up two to four bottles from the packing table and placing the bottles into a customer carton.
  • Supplies empty cartons to the carton conveyor that runs into the case packer or hand pack station.
  • Unjams bottle lines or equipment.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices, including routine cleanup of the work area.
  • Sits at a visual station.
  • Stands at a hand packing station.
  • Works in the repack area, which involves visually examining bottles and discarding defective ones.
  • Possibly stands at a lehr to visually inspect bottles.
  • Sweeps.
  • Steps onto and off of platforms throughout the shift.
  • Goes up and down stairs to cross over single line conveyors.
