About The Position

The Selective Solder is responsible for operating wave soldering equipment and processing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies in accordance with established quality standards, customer requirements, bills of material, and Aegis work instructions. This role ensures products are processed accurately, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

Read and interpret drawings and bills of material
Communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of IPC-A-610
Knowledge of Aegis

Responsibilities

Operate wave soldering equipment to process printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Perform visual inspections of soldered assemblies using magnifying lamps and microscopes to identify defects and ensure workmanship meets applicable requirements.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including de-crossing wave soldering equipment and maintaining machines in clean, safe, and operational condition.
Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and surrounding areas to support a safe and efficient production environment.
Utilize specialized tooling, custom assembly fixtures, and other production aids as required to properly solder electronic assemblies.
Install headers, connectors, and other components prior to the wave soldering process.
Document daily machine setups, production jobs, and profile changes accurately and completely.
Monitor soldering processes and promptly report defective or nonconforming material to the Area Lead or Manager.
Enter wave soldering defects and inspection results into the Aegis database accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain required material and product traceability throughout the production process.
Follow applicable work instructions, safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies at all times.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
