About The Position

Our client is a well-established independent insurance agency offering a comprehensive suite of Commercial, Personal, and Group Benefit insurance solutions. Known for their commitment to client relationships and industry expertise, they provide a dynamic and supportive work environment with hybrid work flexibility. We are seeking an experienced Select Commercial Account Manager to join their team in a full-time hybrid capacity. This role is central to managing and growing a portfolio of commercial accounts, delivering expert insurance guidance, and fostering strong relationships with both clients and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting business retention and growth alongside the sales team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management within an independent agency (experience with carriers, captives, or direct writers does not qualify)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid work environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AMS 360 is preferred but not required
  • Insurance certifications, designations, and/or active licenses are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct pre-renewal meetings with commercial clients
  • Facilitate thorough policy reviews to ensure adequate coverage
  • Consult insureds on policy changes and coverage recommendations
  • Assist with new quotes and coverage estimates
  • Re-market accounts to insurance carriers as needed
  • Process Certificates of Insurance and policy endorsements
  • Bind coverages on behalf of clients
  • Manage accounts receivable related to assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support business growth and client retention
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the policy lifecycle
