SEIT Lead

Anduril•Costa Mesa, CA

About The Position

The SEIT Lead will own the requirements, interfaces, and verification plan for a maritime autonomous vehicle, leading the integration campaign that brings separate subsystem deliveries together into a working vehicle. The role leads the SEIT function and directs the MBSE systems engineer supporting it. Subsystem teams spanning structures, energy, propulsion, communications, and vehicle management are designing in parallel; the SEIT Lead establishes and manages interfaces, holds teams accountable to them, and prioritizes testing to retire risk. The position is part of Anduril's Maritime Division. The division is developing capabilities at a new 160,000-square-foot Proto-Factory in Orange County, California, as an early prototyping hub for Arsenal-2, a software-defined shipyard being built in Baltimore County, Maryland. The role requires travel of up to 25% to test sites and operational locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of systems engineering experience on complex hardware and software vehicles, including at least 2 years leading integration and test.
  • Experience owning requirements and interface baselines across multiple subsystem teams.
  • Experience planning and executing verification campaigns on physical hardware.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AUV, UUV, submarine, spacecraft, or aircraft integration and test.
  • Experience with MBSE and SysML, either owning a system model or consuming one.
  • Experience leading at-sea or remote field test campaigns.
  • Experience on a program where the requirements baseline did not exist yet.
  • Experience in defense or maritime robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vehicle requirements baseline, from program requirements through subsystem specifications.
  • Own interface management, including interface control documents (ICDs), interface control, and change control across subsystems.
  • Define and own the verification and validation plan, including the requirements verification matrix.
  • Plan and run the integration and test campaign across bench, software-in-the-loop (SITL), hardware-in-the-loop (HITL), dockside, and at-sea testing.
  • Own vehicle technical budgets for mass, volume, power, energy, and buoyancy.
  • Chair design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR) and drive actions to closure.
  • Lead test readiness and anomaly resolution during at-sea testing.
  • Direct the MBSE systems engineer and set how the system model is used on the program.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
