About The Position

This is a permanent, full-time position at KWS Lochow GmbH, located at their breeding station in Bergen-Wohlde. The role involves actively participating in the development and improvement of modern cereal varieties, supporting the breeding process from its inception. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

Requirements

Completed vocational training as a farmer, plant technician, or a comparable qualification
Valid Class B driver's license
Confident use of MS 365 and common PC applications
Reliable and independent working style, strong teamwork skills, and a high level of responsibility and initiative
Good German language skills, both written and spoken
Willingness to perform practical field work under changing weather conditions and to work additional hours during the peak season (May to October)

Nice To Haves

Additional license categories (BE, CE, or T) are an advantage

Responsibilities

Operating tractors and harvesting machinery on trial and production fields
Carrying out maintenance work in breeding nurseries
Processing and preparing seed for trial and seed multiplication areas
Data collection and crop assessments in the field, storage facilities, and greenhouse
Cleaning and inspecting cereal seed multiplication plots
Performing crossing activities in the greenhouse and in the field
Supporting projects and assisting with documentation
Training and supervising seasonal workers during the season
Occasional national and international business travel (approximately 10%)
