About The Position

We are currently hiring Part-time for the following school: Jordan Community School 7414 N. Wolcott Ave Chicago, IL 60626 Shift time: 5pm-6pm

Requirements

  • Must have High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have experience working in/providing support within an urban school settings.
  • Strong general knowledge of the population of students at risk and experience with passion for successful intervention strategies of these students.
  • Ability to understand and interpret the policies, procedures, and general organizational structure of Chicago Public Schools.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor front desk
  • Log visitors and permit entry
  • Facilitate drop-off and pick-up of students
  • Serve as first point of contact for parents
  • Patrol access points during program operation
  • Obtain help and provide emergency assistance when necessary
  • Prevent conflict with support from instructional staff
  • Maintain high visibility during program operation
  • Document unusual occurrences
  • Field telephone calls as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
