About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a Security professional to help promote a safe environment for residents, families, and staff. The role patrols community buildings and conducts safety and security inspections of community property, including common areas, parking lots, and the perimeter. This position reports to the Security Manager.

Responsibilities

• Patrol community property to prevent and discover activity that violates criminal, fire, or safety codes.
• Watch for and report irregularities, including fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and unsecured security doors.
• Investigate and report unlawful acts and safety hazards that could endanger people or property.
• Investigate incidents and suspicious occurrences and file incident reports appropriately.
• Respond to security calls and complaints, take necessary action, and handle on-scene emergencies until relieved by a supervisor.
• Secure and unlock areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
