About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. Key duties include monitoring individuals by checking IDs and collecting cover charges at the entrance, preventing aggressive or destructive behavior, and safeguarding property and equipment from damage. The security personnel will warn and, if necessary, eject individuals exhibiting dangerous or inappropriate conduct from the venue.

Requirements

Ability to determine what to do quickly before a situation gets out of control.
Must be trusted by their employer not to allow underage people into the bar, or to let someone who is getting out of control stay on premises.
Need to be on the lookout for trouble.
Ability to see false identification.
Must be generally aware of their surroundings.

Responsibilities

Monitor people by checking I.D.s and cover charge at the door.
Ensure nobody is acting aggressively or destructively.
Protect property and equipment from damage.
Warn and eject individuals acting in a dangerous or unseemly manner from the venue.
Work the door, check IDs, and take cover charge.
Talk to unruly patrons and communicate with police if an altercation occurs.
Break up fights in a professional, non-abusive manner.
Control rowdy guests.
Practice safe serving techniques.
Ensure guests leave safely and are not exhibiting signs of likely intoxication.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Greet guests with a positive attitude.
