About The Position

This key position is responsible for maintaining orderliness and ensuring the safety of our guests and staff by proactively observing and warding off any unruly behavior. This position is located at our Monterey pub and is an hourly position with hours that will vary based on business needs. Weekend availability is a must.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid State Driver’s License.
Valid State Security Guard Card License.
Ability to maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and listening.
A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
Passion for providing extraordinary service.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitor patron behavior and level of intoxication.
Identify and provide early warning for sketchy behavior.
Use eye contact and body language to let troublesome patrons know that their conduct is reaching the threshold for unacceptable behavior.
Warn patrons who are exhibiting objectionable behavior with a well-timed and discreet comment to resolve objectionable behavior in early stages.
Remove obnoxious and offensive persons.
Maintain professionalism at all times and especially when asking patrons to leave.
Use force only in self-defense or detention for police.
Call the police to enforce criminal acts, as required.
In collaboration with the Manager, control over-crowding and restaurant intensity.
Under the direction of and in collaboration with the General Manager, write up incident reports for record-keeping purposes.
Resolve conflicts and restrain anyone who gets into a fight, take care of patrons' welfare.
Resolve guest problems whenever possible and direct communication with manager.
Report pressing security-related matters to the General Manager and local authorities as needed.
Other various tasks as assigned.
Comply with all Company safety and health policies and procedures.
