The Security Technology Support Specialist is a position responsible for supporting, monitoring, and assisting with the administration of campus security technologies while also providing operational support for campus safety and security functions. This position works collaboratively with the Information Technology Department and Campus Police/Security personnel to ensure the effective operation of physical security systems, emergency communication technologies, and related safety infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to function effectively in both technology and campus security support environments. This position may involve flexible scheduling, emergency response responsibilities, and participation in campus safety operations. This position may require evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work assignments. The employee may be exposed to stressful situations, emergency incidents, and varying weather conditions while performing campus safety and security responsibilities.
