Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
  • At least two years in electronics technology
  • Experience terminating alarm devices, cameras, access control devices and CAT-5 cabling
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical/fabrication work
  • Secret Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing and servicing specific systems (e.g., Lenel, Bosch, Honeywell, HID, Genetec)
  • Experience with access control hardware (electric strikes, maglocks, card readers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with AC and low-voltage DC systems
  • Proficient in the installation and maintenance of physical security systems

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain access control systems (ACS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS) in a variety of environments.
  • Interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical schematics to ensure accurate installations.
  • Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete wiring, mounting, and equipment setup.
  • Run and terminate cables, connect hardware, and verify system functionality through testing and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and resolve issues during installation and service, ensuring systems are reliable and fully operational.
  • Work closely with other technicians to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and facility guidelines.
