Requirements

Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
At least two years in electronics technology
Experience terminating alarm devices, cameras, access control devices and CAT-5 cabling
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical/fabrication work
Secret Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

Experience installing and servicing specific systems (e.g., Lenel, Bosch, Honeywell, HID, Genetec)
Experience with access control hardware (electric strikes, maglocks, card readers, etc.)
Familiarity with AC and low-voltage DC systems
Proficient in the installation and maintenance of physical security systems

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain access control systems (ACS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS) in a variety of environments.
Interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical schematics to ensure accurate installations.
Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete wiring, mounting, and equipment setup.
Run and terminate cables, connect hardware, and verify system functionality through testing and troubleshooting.
Identify and resolve issues during installation and service, ensuring systems are reliable and fully operational.
Work closely with other technicians to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and facility guidelines.
