About The Position

Superior Alarm Systems (SAS) is a respected systems integrator specializing in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Fire Alarm systems. They are known for solving complex challenges in demanding environments and delivering end-to-end security solutions with a reputation for technical excellence and first-class service. SAS is expanding in the Bay Area and seeking an experienced Security Technician III to support complex security system installations in the field. This role is ideal for a technician who can work independently, execute high-quality installations, and begin stepping into a leadership capacity. As a Security Technician III, you will take ownership of installation tasks while supporting jobsite coordination and mentoring junior technicians. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed with precision, efficiency, and adherence to SAS quality standards, while developing toward a senior-level Technician IV path.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of security installation experience
  • Proven ability to lead installation teams and work independently in the field
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to lift and control up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of security system installation experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with Structured cabling and low-voltage systems
  • Experience with Access control, surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with Bluebeam and D-Tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled, independent installation of security systems in accordance with SAS standards, drawings, and specifications
  • Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling with clean workmanship and proper cable management
  • Install and commission security devices including: Access control hardware and door components, IP cameras and camera infrastructure, Intrusion alarm systems and field devices, intercoms, and other specialty devices
  • Perform neat door hardware and component installations with occasional assistance as needed.
  • Verify system functionality and resolve installation-level issues without supervision
  • Ensure all work is neat, labeled, aligned, sealed, tested, and fully operational prior to inspection or turnover
  • Assist the Technician IV with day-to-day jobsite execution and coordination
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job support to Technician I and II team members
  • Maintain installation pace that meets or exceeds expected timeframes without sacrificing quality
  • Accurately document work completed, time entries, and job progress in SAS project tracking systems
  • Maintain detailed and timely records without assistance
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific requirements
  • Represent the company, its employees, and the work environment with a positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Stay current on all SAS company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Participate in cross-training programs to enhance versatility and ensure development of career path.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Continually observe surroundings and maintain a mindset of vigilance as it relates to the security of the facility.
