About The Position

The Security Team Leader is responsible for supervising and guiding the security team, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and maintaining safety protocols. This role includes liaising with law enforcement authorities, designing and implementing lockdown procedures, updating safety measures, conducting drills, and managing relationships with state and federal agencies. The Security Team Leader will also collaborate on state and federal grants, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • Proven experience in security management or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of basic security techniques.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid Class D License.
  • Valid Class G License.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal/background check and must be able to pass a drug test spontaneously while employed.
  • A minimum of CPR/First Aid/AED for all ages is required.
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems and technologies, including burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV.
  • Ability to design and implement safety protocols and conduct drills.
  • Familiarity with state and federal security regulations and grant processes.
  • Advanced physical fitness proficiency.
  • Successfully completed Pulmus7 Basic Training’.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Military, Law Enforcement, and Government Agency experience is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Valid Class W License (an advantage).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the facility's physical security systems, including burglar alarms, access control, CCTV, and public announcement systems.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to other security guards, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and updating them as necessary.
  • Perform guard duties as required, providing support during peak times or emergencies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Sheriff’s Office and other state and federal authorities, fostering strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Design and implement lockdown and other safety protocols in collaboration with the Health and Safety Committee, ensuring comprehensive and effective measures are in place.
  • Collaborate on state and federal grants and protocols, staying informed on relevant regulations and securing necessary funding for security initiatives.
  • Regularly update safety procedures and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential threats or emergencies.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the alarm monitoring company, ensuring timely and effective responses to any security alerts or incidents.
